Yesterday, for Day 63, I posted this photograph of an oak tree, taken with my 28-135mm kit lens (1/320 sec. at f/3.5, ISO 100):
Here is the same tree (from a slightly different angle) taken with my new 50mm f/1.4 lens (1/125 sec. at f/3.5, ISO 100):
Both photos were taken under identical conditions: under a completely blue sky at approximately 5:15 pm. (The shutter speed was a faster on the second one.)
And here’s a photo of Phoenix (renamed Tucson by a friend of ours) with the 50mm:
This photo makes me particularly excited about this lens. It lets so much more light in!
