My name is Ann Pagel. I live in the Twin Cities with my two kids, Max and Gus.
I have been a photographer since high school, when I first learned to shoot with a Pentax K1000. I shot primarily black and white film until I bought my first DSLR camera, a Canon 40D, in the fall of 2008. I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Elements to process and edit my photos. I still miss my (stolen) K1000, though. Someday, I hope to buy another one.
In addition to photography, I’ve also been making jewelry and plan to open an Etsy shop someday.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2014 and will use this blog to keep my friends and family updated on my treatment and healing. Something tells me that my photography and beading will be an important part of that battle.
Thank you so much for visiting. I hope you come back often. And please be sure to leave a comment here and there. Let me know what you like (or don’t like) about a photograph or two. And if you have any advice or ideas about battling cancer, please feel free to share them here. I love to hear about others’ journeys and experiences.
Peace, love, and Bobby Sherman …
